9th February 2015

Yeovil Town are back in SkyBet League One action this coming Tuesday night as the Glovers travel to Crewe for a 7:45pm kick off.

The two sides currently sit in the bottom six of the League One and are coming off the back of victories against fellow relegation rivals.

Yeovil beat Crawley Town to jump off the bottom of the table and leap to 22nd.

Crewe defeated Colchester in an enthralling match, the three points sending the Alex to 19th place.

All of which means Yeovil lie four points but just three places below their midweek opponents, a win for the Glovers could send them out of the relegation zone – if the Coventry result goes the right way.

Crewe could jump as high as 15th with a win, demonstrating just how tight the bottom half of the table is.

Prior to this weekend, it has been all go at Huish Park, with Gary Johnson removed of his duties in the week. Terry Skiverton has not had long to work with the side since taking over on a full time basis but has already shown his bravery is altering the formation to an exciting 3-5-2 as well as including striker Adam Morgan in the match day squad for the first time in a number of months.

Skiverton has said that with the need for survival and the inability to sign loan players for a few more days, every fit member of the squad is available and will be considered for selection.

Long term injuries to Chris Weale, Joel Grant, Liam Davis, Kevin Dawson and Simon Gillett are all likely to rule them out for the foreseeable future.

Fergus Bell is also waiting for his debut in a green and white shirt and is available once more this coming Tuesday.

At Crewe, their form has been indifferent during 2015.

They have lost their last two home games, conceding five against MK Dons, but have won their last two on the road.

Alex are yet to draw in five games this calendar year with only one of those game having less than three goals.

Crewe’s transfer window saw them bring in their top scorer Nicky Ajose on loan from Leeds; Ajose has scored six times since arriving initially on a short term deal in November.

In the first meeting between the two sides this season, the sides played out a 1-1 draw.

Billy Waters opened the scoring before Kieffer Moore (Pictured abovecame off the bench to score a deserved equaliser.

That game saw Yeovil name just five out of a possible seven substitutes.

Before this season, the sides last met during the 2012/13 season and the Glovers secured a double victory, both games ending 1-0.

In the away leg, Byron Webster scored the only goal to continue the amazing winning streak with catapulted Yeovil into the promotion frame.

At Huish Park, with their play-off place confirmed, Joe Edwards scored the only goal of a quiet game after less than a minute.

The two sides have met a total of nine times in the football league, the only draw being the one earlier this campaign.

Yeovil have five wins, Crewe have three in their head to head. If we narrow it down just game at Gresty Road, the stats are tied at two wins a piece.

Tickets for this fixture are available on the day – but supporters are asked to consider the need to visit the ticket office rather than pay on the turnstiles.
