Yeovil Town are back in Sky Bet League One action this Saturday as they travel to a newly rehomed, Coventry City.
Glovers fans will have to reset their Sat Nav’s as the game has been moved from the Sky Blue’s temporary home in Northampton back to the Ricoh Arena.
Yeovil are going into the game in healthy form; unbeaten in four, two away wins in that combination include last weekend’s impressive 3-1 win at Bradford City.
That win lifted Yeovil into the top half of the table and that is just two points below the play-offs and just one point behind Coventry.
The midlands side are in 8th place currently with nine points.
Two wins, three draws and just a single defeat is the Coventry record for the season so far, their only defeat coming on the opening day against Bradford.
That makes this Saturday’s fixture between two of the form sides in the league, something has to give.
As for the two teams, Yeovil have had a boost in the news that Joel Grant is now back in full training and available for selection. His match fitness may be lacking however and a behind-closed- doors fixture against Plymouth in midweek did that no harm as the Jamaican international played a full 90 minutes.
The friendly game ended in a 3-0 win for the Glovers, Grant scoring twice to put his name in the manager’s thoughts for selection.
The scorer of the third goal is guaranteed to be on the bench at the Ricoh, but not among the named substitutes, physio Simon Baker came on to add a surprising name to the score sheet.
Baker along with his companion in the physio room, Mike Micciche have been helping nurse the trio of James Berrett, Liam Davis and Simon Gillett back to fitness.
All three remain a number of weeks away from action. Those injuries forced Gary Johnson into the transfer market to sign Wolves midfielder Jack Price, who will make his second league appearance this weekend.
Price was one of the stars of the show at Bradford, setting up the third goal by tying the home side’s right back in knots before laying the ball on a plate for Ajay Leitch Smith to smash home.
In the home dressing room, they also have some good news. Manager, Stephen Pressley has signed a new deal this week and his latest signing, Frank Nouble scored the winner last weekend.
The 1-0 win over Gillingham was their first game back at the Ricoh and Nouble’s goal was the fairy tale ending to an emotional evening.
Nouble was one of Coventry’s two deadline day additions, Middlesbrough’s Seb Hines the other.
Of course the two sides didn’t meet last season, but the season before the Glovers picked up four points. A 1-1 draw at home very early on in the season and a 1-0 win away from home.
Richard Hinds netted at home, while Paddy Madden kept the Ricoh Arena faithful quiet. Those two fixtures are in fact the only two competitive meetings between the sides.
Today (Thursday 11th) is the final day you can buy tickets for the match ahead of the day, call the ticket office on 01935 847888 now.
There will be tickets available on the day, but it should be noted there will be a £2 price rise.
If you’re not heading to Coventry, Glovers Player will have the full match commentary.
The post match interviews will be on the club’s YouTube channel as will the highlights (subject to football league embargo).
The form table suggest this could be a cracker and so it’s worth getting behind the Glovers as they look to extend their unbeaten run.
