Yeovil Town are back in SkyBet League One action this coming Saturday as they travel to Yorkshire and take on Bradford City.

Both sides will be looking to put and exit from the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy behind them from midweek.

Yeovil went out at the hands of Portsmouth while Bradford fell to a late Oldham Athletic winner.

Bradford’s league form is much better however and they currently sit in 5th place and within striking distance of top spot.

They have also got a place in the third round of the Captial One Cup to look forward to, overcoming local rivals Leeds in the previous round.

Their ten points have come from three wins and a draw, most recently a three point haul from an away trip to Rochdale last weekend.

As for Yeovil, they remain in 19th place and despite the gap in positions, there is still just five points between the Glovers and the play-off spots.

Yeovil’s home form has been somewhat shaky and a chance to an get away from Huish Park might do the confidence some good. The only Green and White win this season has come on the travels, an impressive win at Walsall.

Yeovil go into the game unbeaten in three league games which with a threadbare squad is already an achievement.

The injury news is mixed going into Saturday, Jakub Sokolik and Joe Edwards should both be involved in the squad after missing out in midweek, while Joel Grant resumed training this week and the prognosis on Simon Gillett’s injury is better than first feared.

The latter two are still out for a few more weeks, but they are both heading in the right direction, it’s hoped that James Berrett and Liam Davis aren’t too far behind.

Elsewhere, new loanee, Jack Price could well make his league debut for Yeovil; he was a substitute in the midweek game and will have trained for the first time since the cup tie.

The team news from Valley Parade is much simpler, Phil Parkinson can call on Player of the Month nominee, James Hanson, as well as two players who have extended contracts with the club Filipe Morais and Matt Urwin.

Elsewhere, Yeovil fans will recognise one member of the Bantams squad very well. Matty Dolan, one of the Glovers’ heroes from Wembley in 2013, Dolan came on late in the game to sure up the midfield in the 2-1 win over Brentford.

Dolan could play in place of Gary Liddle who missed the midweek game after coming off second best in a tackle against Leeds; he is also expected to sit out Saturday’s fixture.

The two sides have met four times previously, all in Coca Cola League One.

The last meeting was in 2007 when an Arron Davis double sealed all three points, prior to that, a 0-0 draw, a 1-0 loss and a 1-1 draw are all that we have to go on.

That 1-1 draw, the first ever meeting was back in 2005 and a certain Terry Skiverton opened the scoring.

The Glovers faithful may be in for an early start and many motorway miles for the trip on Saturday, but the chance to see the Glovers right the wrongs of midweek and keep their league form on the straight and narrow will, hopefully make it worth the journey.

Tickets for the game are now available on the day with the Adult ticket priced at £20.

For any fans who don’t fancy a round trip of over 500 miles the game is available, as ever, on Glovers Player with the club’s social networks covering the game and the post-match reaction in full.
