Yeovil Town are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of Jimmy Smith.

After an extremely successful loan spell which saw the attacking midfielder score five goals in 20 appearances, Jimmy now returns to Huish Park on a one-year deal.

A stand-out performer for the Glovers last season, Jimmy built a great relationship with the Huish Park faithful due to his performances in Green and White. Many Yeovil fans had been hopeful the midfielder would return, which the club are now delighted to confirm.

After being released by Crawley Town at the end of the 2018/19 season, Jimmy is now free to extend his spell in Somerset on a permanent basis.

Speaking to YTTV after signing, Jimmy said: “It feels great to be back. I enjoyed my time here last year on loan, it’s great to be back here permanently.

“It’s far from my home, but I’m willing to make that sacrifice, I believe in what’s going on here and what the manager’s doing, I want to buy into that.

“The fan base here is unbelievable, so many of them travel for away games, and it’s some distance as well. We’ve had 1,000 at away games and more fans than the home support so it’s fantastic!”
