The Yorkshire club are unbeaten in their last seven outings and are four points ahead of second-placed Plymouth Argyle.

Doncaster have scored three goals in each of their last three games, but Way is confident his side are up for challenge of getting a result.

“They’re a good team, in good form and have scored a lot of goals,” he told YTFC’s official YouTube channel.

“They’re scoring in threes so we have to make sure we’re aware of that.

“We know about (John) Marquis and the movement of Andy Williams because he was here before, and (James) Coppinger, in my opinion, is a Championship player playing in League Two.

“They have (Andy) Butler who has a wealth of experience at the back so they’re a very strong force which is obvious because they’re top of the league.”

He added: “We know their threats but the players are really hungry for this challenge and there’s not many challenges they’ve not wanted to take up which is a good thing as a manager.”

In the reverse fixture at the Keepmoat Stadium, Town fell to a 4-1 defeat to Darren Ferguson’s outfit.

Way is looking for his players to learn from the loss and put a few wrongs to rights.

“There’s not many teams that have scored as many past us,” he said.

“I expect us to be a little bit more resilient. We’ll learn from the last game against them.

“We’ve done a lot of work on the training ground and the players look like they’re ready for the challenge.”
