On 6 March 2021, Pearson made his Championship debut for Bristol City as a substitute in a 2–0 loss to Queens Park Rangers.
On 21 January 2022, he was loaned to Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle for the remainder of the 2021–22 season. He left the club on 1 April 2022 due to a family bereavement and returned to Bristol City.
On 28 July 2022, Pearson joined National League side Yeovil Town on an initial one-month loan. His loan was extended until January 2023 on 24 August. In January 2023, he moved to League Two club AFC Wimbledon on loan for the rest of the season.
In January 2024, Pearson and Bristol City mutually agreed to terminate his contract. He rejoined Yeovil Town, now in the National League South, on a permanent deal on 18 January 2024. Pearson marked his return with a goal on his debut against Hemel Hempstead Town on 20 January 2024. At the end of the 2023–24 season, he signed a new one-year contract with Yeovil Town.
