Thomas joined Charlton Athletic at 6 and was with their academy from age 9 until he was released at 15.

He signed a scholarship with Huddersfield Town at 16 after a season with Erith & Belvedere F.C. and made his Huddersfield U23s debut on 11 September 2017.

At 18, Thomas signed his first professional contract with Norwich City in January 2018 and debuted for Norwich U23s on 22 January. In the 2019–20 season, he made his Premier League debut on 26 July 2020 against Manchester City.

He was loaned to Leyton Orient for the 2020–21 season, debuting on 14 November 2020. He played four times during the loan and was released by Norwich at season’s end.

Thomas joined Barnet on a two-year deal in July 2021 and moved to Hampton & Richmond Borough in March 2023. In June 2024, he signed a two-year contract with Yeovil Town.
