Another week has passed and already it is time for another Shez – She Talks.

I really hope you are all enjoying my weekly blog, I really am loving writing them. I just wish that I was able to be a lot more positive about Yeovil Town.

It was a freezing cold day in Barnsley on Saturday and the conditions were very poor. Playing any sort of attacking football seemed extremely unlikely. However, I thought we started well and if AJ Leitch-Smith had put that golden chance away in the first half, I think it would have been a different story.

The red card was disappointing, I must admit I did not see the incident at the game and initially I thought that it had been given for the tackle.

I think Ben Nugent has been outstanding for us this season and to be without him for four games is a real blow. I am sure he has learnt his lesson and will come back stronger; I just hope it doesn’t hamper our chances further of staying in League One.

It is very hard as a football fan to not be negative after a poor game and to see your side languish at the bottom of the table. However, it is not over until it’s over and our support can really make the difference. 1

156 Yeovil fans travelled up to Barnsley in gale force winds. That kind of support takes commitment and belief, so let’s keep that going. I know one thing; the boys won’t give up until the very end.

In other news, our FA Cup opponents Manchester United suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Southampton at the weekend. All the newspapers have focused on is how Radamel Falcao was left out of the entire squad.

However, having watched him grace Huish Park and not be able to remove himself from Ben Nugent’s back pocket, I am not entirely surprised. The money he is earning really is quite extortionate, over £375,000 per week and he has failed to impress both in the Premier League and in the Cup.

Louis Van Gaal now has the same number of points as David Moyes did at this stage last season, with a significantly improved budget. That really is quite staggering, but the real plaudits should go to Southampton who have battled back from a bad run and are more than capable of challenging for Europe. I will be backing them all the way.

As for Burnley, their season looks to be turning around after they gained an important 2-1 win over QPR. QPR have now lost every single away game in the Premier League this season. That is a new record.

You see, it can always be worse. Everton and Man City played out an entertaining 1-1 draw, putting Chelsea back in the driving seat as they defeated Newcastle 2-0.

I still think there will be lots more twists and turns in the top tier this year and I think it will be a close call between Chelsea and Man City, never write anyone off – one of the most important rules in football!

Remember that Yeovil Town fans.

Goal (KEEPER) of the week.
It was one of the big talking points at Half Time at Barnsley, so I thought it would be only fitting for all of us to enjoy it.

Former Yeovil striker Matty Harrold played over 50 minutes in goal for Crawley on Saturday after Brian Jensen dislocated his finger. He gained the man of the match award but was unlucky to concede a last minute equaliser against MK Dons. Well done Matt! Enjoy his brilliant performance here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=his0K3C3n0o

Next up, we face another tough test at home with Bradford City in town. The reverse fixture ended in a 3-1 win for the Glovers and a similar result would certainly not go amiss. I will take a scrappy 1-0 win any day of the week. We need 10 wins from the last 19 games, so let’s get that first one this Saturday. Get behind the boys and re-create the atmosphere when United came to Town, this is bigger than that game.

The future of our club is relying on these final games, get your green and white on and cheer as loud as you can!
