Hi everyone. Can you believe we are already ten games in to the new season? It is flying by and although we did not get the result we wanted at Crawley, who ever knew Yeovil Town to do things the easy way? That would be boring.
We have suffered due to inconsistency this season and I think if we can just put a run together our small squad will show the other teams in League One the potential we have.
In other news, Russell Slade is set to become the new Cardiff City manager. Cardiff are a huge club who will ultimately be expecting a return to the Premier League in the not so distant future, so it will be a huge challenge for the former Glovers manager. I wish him all the luck in the world and hope that the Bluebirds give him some time to make his mark on the Championship.
The second tier has really surprised me this season as there are already some teams that are gelling extremely well and some who are not fulfilling their potential. Fulham finally got 3 points at Birmingham City on Saturday but have much work to do if their season is to ignite, such a huge club will not want to join the Alumni of League One including Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Wolves.
In terms of the team to watch, I have been very impressed with how Brentford have adapted to life in the Championship. Their home form will be key to their success this year and after defeating a resurgent Leeds United side on Saturday they lie in 12th place.
They were unlucky to not get a point at Watford last night and I am backing them for a very successful season! Although we did manage to seal all three points at Vicarage Road last season and how amazing was that game? I am digressing but I cannot help but look back with such pride at our Championship season.
As for League One, Crewe Alexandra look in a lot of trouble as they fell to a 3 nil defeat at home to Notts County last night. Already five points adrift, it is going to be tough season ahead and we all know how that feels.
Amazingly, we lie in 16th place and are so far the most successful relegated team from the Championship. Barnsley lie precariously in the bottom four, whilst Doncaster sit in 18th place just one point behind Yeovil. It just goes to show what a crazy game it is and how difficult League One is this season.
Goal of the week
This week has seen many sensational strikes and I struggled to pick just one goal! However, after much deliberation it had to be Southampton’s Graziano Pelle’s scintillating finish against QPR. Early contender for goal of the season I think.

Up next for the Glovers is a visit from high flying MK Dons. This match always means a lot to me as I live close to Milton Keynes so I like to make sure I have the bragging rights back home.
Safe to say, if we lose I will not hear the end of it. So the boys need to bounce back so up here in MK I can show off about how fantastic my boys are, even more so than usual.
