Yeovil Town are delighted to announce that Omar Sowunmi has agreed a new two-year contract at Huish Park.

"I’m delighted to have agreed a new contract to remain at Huish Park for another two years.

"The gaffer has shown faith in me after I have been out injured for a while and for that I would like to thank him.

"You can see the gaffer is doing well here and young players are given an opportunity to prove themselves.

"Next season I am hoping to play as much first-team football as possible and to remain injury free."

Manager Darren Way said: "I played a big part in bringing Omar to Yeovil Town and was left disappointed with the adversity that he has to deal with last season.

"His family have been a massive support for him through a difficult time, and I thank them for that.

"I am a great believer in good success stories and I feel Omar has all the potential to get a good run of games under his belt.

"With his ability and strengths I am certain he will be a key asset for Yeovil Town next season."
