INTERVIEW | Morgan Williams speaks after signing for Yeovil Town

Morgan Williams is buzzing to be back at Huish Park

15 June 2021

On Monday evening, Yeovil Town confirmed the signature of Morgan Williams on a two-year contract.

The defender well-known to Glovers fans following two loan spells, was excited to get started after putting pen to paper.

Speaking to ytfc.net, the 21-year-old said, “I’m really excited to get started here, it’s a fresh start and I want to leave my mark on the club.

“The main aspiration in my time here is to get promotion to League Two. First of all, I need to knuckle down in pre-season, get some game time in and then push on.

“I’m massively excited to play in front of the fans again, obviously it’s been a difficult time the last year or so, but I can’t wait to see them in pre-season and onwards.”

Speaking on social media, the former Coventry man couldn’t hide his delight at returning to Huish Park, tweeting;

The Huish Park faithful were equally excited to see Morgan return to Somerset, with one posting; "Welcome back Morgan, great signing!"

Announced at the same time as Boris Johnson delayed lockdown easing, some fans preferred this announcement to the PM's, with another sharing on twitter; "Of all the announcements at 6 o'clock today, this one is miles better than Boris'."
