Yeovil Town are delighted to announce the signing of Dale Gorman from Glentoran on undisclosed terms, subject to international clearance.
The midfielder reunites with Darren Sarll who brought him over to England in his teens whilst at Stevenage.
Now 25, Gorman has a National League winners medal with Leyton Orient, alongside EFL spells with the aforementioned Stevenage & a loan spell with Newport County.
Most recently, the midfielder spent time in the Northern Ireland Premier Division with Glentoran, where he inspired the Glens to a third placed finish, reaching the Europa League qualifying rounds in the process.
Returning to England and full-time football, Gorman spoke to ytfc.net after putting pen to paper, Gorman said; “I’m delighted to get everything sealed and finalised; I’m just looking forward to the season starting now.
“Our ambition has to be promotion; you look at the size of the football club and not many would expect us to be here.
“We’ll give it a good go this year to try and get back where we should be.”
A hard-working midfielder, the Northern Irishman is ready to give all he has to the Yeovil Town cause, “I’m a Yeovil player now, so I’ll give everything I have for Yeovil and do everything I can to win matches for this football club.
“I hope the fans can get down here (Huish Park) and support us because we need you. We can do this together and have a good season!”
Welcome to Somerset, Dale!
