Yeovil Town’s latest addition Lewis Simper cannot wait to get going after signing a season-long loan deal with the club.
Signing on loan from Cambridge United, the midfielder will be with the Glovers for the upcoming season and is looking to get more experience in the men’s game.
Speaking to ytfc.net after signing, Simper said; “I’m so excited to get started, it’s a big club and I can’t wait to get in with the boys and for the season to start.
“My ambition for this season is to play as many games as I can and to push for a place in the team. As a collective our ambition should be to finish as high up the table as we can.
Having grown up in the Cambridge United academy, Simper already has a familiar face in the ranks at Huish Park in Tom Knowles.
“It’s really helpful to have someone who I already know like Knowlesy down here.
"As soon as I knew there was a possibility of coming here, I got on the phone to him, and he only had great things to say about the club and the people here."
When asked how he would describe himself as a player, Simper said; “I’m a technical midfield player, I like to get on the ball and try creating chances.
"I’ll always give 100%.”
