INTERVIEW | 'We've got to get a win' - Marmon

Neale Marmon is looking for the Glovers to take back control of their own destiny with a win at Northampton Town this weekend.

A victory coupled with a draw or defeat for Macclesfield would see the Glovers climb out of the bottom two heading into the final game of the season.

The green and whites were pegged back late on by Colchester United on Easter Monday to only pick up a point and be denied a first win in nine.

Now heading to Northamptonshire for the penultimate match of the 2018/19 campaign, Marmon is hoping for improved performances to turn into points.

"At the moment it’s draws all the way (between the bottom three sides) but we’ve got to get a win, firstly for our own sake," he told iFollow Glovers.

"The last two home games I felt we should’ve got more points and we’d be over the line by now. It wasn’t to be, but I think the performances have got better.

"We’re looking at ourselves and not worrying about who could play where for Northampton. We’ve got to try and get a result and leapfrog over Macclesfield.

"There’s a pressure wherever we play at the moment, whether we’re away or home, all the games are big so we have to focus on enjoying our football and claiming the three points."
