Despite results elsewhere in midweek seeing Town fall into the bottom two for the first time in 2018/19, Matt Worthington is not getting distracted from the job in hand.

The green and whites halted a run of five straight defeats last weekend when Adel Gafaiti's last-minute header earned a 1-1 draw at Swindon.

Keeping the Glovers outside of the relegation zone until Macclesfield's 3-2 win over Exeter in midweek, the January recruit is keen to continue focusing on our own results.

"We need to keep an eye on the teams below us and around us but there’s nothing we can do about Tuesday night," he told iFollow Glovers. "They scored in the last few minutes but as long as we keep getting results and if we get wins we’ll be alright so we have to focus on ourselves.

"That was their game in hand so we're level on games now. If we get a win on Saturday we can be above them again potentially so it's not the end of the world. We just have to keep on top of our results and performances.

"You can see in the last two games that we've liked to play football and we’ve got the ball down which is more exciting for the fans. It’s not so direct and we can take massive positives from the last two games."

After last weekend's dramatic trip to Wiltshire, the green and whites are back at home on Saturday as we welcome Crawley to Huish Park.

The Reds have suffered four straight defeats in League Two so Worthington is looking for the performance at Swindon to carry over.

"Saturday can hopefully be the turning point. It was a good point and we battled all the way through to 90 minutes, which is what you have to do because the game is never over until the final whistle.

"It felt really good after, celebrating with the fans so it was a massive point for us and the fans so it's good to give them something back.

"They (Crawley) have been on a bit of poor form of late so if we can drag some teams down with us and get the win and get above the bottom two then that will be helpful."
