Town captain looking for no lapses in concentration

Captain Gary Warren is targeting a 'complete' performance from the Glovers this weekend when they make the short trip to Swindon Town.

The green and whites will make the 80 mile journey to the County Ground off the back of conceding three goals in the final half-an-hour at home to Newport County last Saturday.

Neale Marmon's side had produced a good performance up until the Exiles netted twice in four minutes, eventually going on to be 3-1 winners.

Pushing Town closer to the relegation zone, Warren is looking for no lapses in concentration against an in-form Robins side.

Speaking to iFollow Glovers, he said: "For us, it's about getting results now and turning the start we made on Saturday into a complete performance. Can we turn that into a 90-minute performance going into the Swindon game?

"We know the form they’re in, they’re a very good side and pose some good attacking players but I feel this league is a strange league this year.

"You only have to look at Tuesday night, Cambridge beat Bury 3-0 away from home so shocks can happen. For us, we have to make sure we apply ourselves right, focus and concentrate at both ends of the pitch."

With six games remaining to retain their EFL status, Yeovil currently sit outside of the bottom two on goal difference.

Keen to avoid dropping into the relegation zone for the first time this season, Warren is demanding a passionate performance from his team-mates.

"Every game is a big game," he said. "It's lads' futures, lads' careers on the line and it's also the football club's future on the line.

"We have to not take that as a pressure, but take it as an enjoyment. Enjoy putting your heart and soul into a performance and into working as hard as you can for a football club and yourself."
