As Town prepare for their final game of the season at Lincoln City on Saturday (3pm), Alex Fisher is looking to finish with a flourish.

The January signing - who's netted six times since arriving from Motherwell - wants the Glovers to sign off in style, as the 2017/18 campaign comes to a close.

Having secured EFL status for next season already, Yeovil head to Lincoln to take on an Imps side looking for a point to guarantee a spot in the play-offs.

With nothing to play for on paper, Fisher has dismissed any notion that thoughts are already on the off-season.

"It's about pride and personal standards," he told iFollow Glovers. "You play football to win and every game you go out there to win. Saturday is no different.

"It's the last game of the season and perhaps easy for minds to wander but the management and staff have kept us on the straight and narrow and want to implement our very forceful gameplan on Saturday afternoon.

"Reaching 50 points is very important, we're not on our holidays yet and there's a job for us to do so we have to go out and make sure we do it."

Enjoying life in Somerset since heading south of the border, Fisher is one of 14 players contracted for next season.

Already looking forward to the 2018/19 campaign, the 27-year-old is hoping to have found a home at Huish Park.

"It's a great club, great staff, great players and a great platform to express yourself and be able to play football," he said.

"Off the pitch, it's nice to be close to home for a change. I'm from not too far away which is a huge bonus after years playing away from friends and family so to have parents watch a game or two is fantastic and spurs me on.

"I've always wanted to try and stay in one place, establish myself and make a name for myself and along the way it's either gone to plan or I've had the odd injury where it's made it hard to stamp authority on a position.

"I go with the intention of staying in each place for a substantial amount of time and hopefully I've found that place now."
