Defender Bevis Mugabi has become the first contracted Town player in four years to make their senior international debut.
Lining up for Uganda, the 22-year-old played 88 minutes of the Cranes' 3-1 win over Sao Tome & Principe on Saturday to claim a first cap.
Receiving a standing ovation from the home crowd, Mugabi will have the chance to impress further on Tuesday night when Uganda take on Malawi in Namboole.
Joining Rhys Browne (Antigua & Barbuda), Shaun Donnellan and Corey Whelan (Republic of Ireland U21s) in leaving Somerset for international duty, the former Southampton defender becomes the first contracted Yeovil player to earn a first cap for their country since May 2014.
Joel Grant (Jamaica) was the last player to represent their country for the first time, following impressive performances in Green & White during the 2013/14 campaign.
All at YTFC would like to congratulate Bevis on the achievement.
