Two of Town's Academy prospects have been praised by manager Darren Way after starting pre-season with the first-team.
Tyrique Spencer-Clarke and Daniel Ojo - first and second year scholars respectively - have been training with Way's squad since the start of the month, before featuring against Swansea City on Tuesday night.
Taking place at Huish Park, 17-year-old Spencer-Clarke played 45 minutes against the Swans in the narrow 2-1 defeat whilst the same-aged Ojo featured in the final few minutes.
Commenting on their development, Way told YTFC.net: "A number of the Under-18s have been training with us and the progress they've made has been good to see.
"We made a lot of changes on Tuesday with plenty of trialists but we still had some good individual performances in the second half; Tyrique played very well up against a really experienced Swansea team and deserved his opportunity."
The Glovers will next be in action against Bristol Rovers at Huish Park on the 17th July, with tickets on sale and available to purchase online and via the ticket office (01935 847888).
