Sam Surridge says Town will need to up their game to get a positive result from their Emirates FA Cup meeting with Manchester United.

Glovers boss Darren Way has told the players a replay at Old Trafford is the minimum aim and the determined Green and White squad are ready for the challenge.

It will be the biggest game of Surridge’s young career to date and like every other Yeovil player, he is buzzing for the opportunity to take on the world’s best.

“I’m excited, as are all the lads and can’t wait to play,” he told iFollow Glovers

“The crowd is going to be quite daunting but when I start playing I’ll block it out.

“We all want to show what we’re about and how good we are. We’re looking forward to testing ourselves against the best.

“The tempo of the game will be high because they’re world class players and we’ll have to play above ourselves and hope they don’t have their best game so we can get a result.”

Surridge concluded: “The gaffer wants us to be obsessed with getting a result.

“The least he expects is taking them back to Old Trafford. He’s ambitious; we’re all ambitious and we can do it.”
