Otis Khan will serve a five-match ban for his sending off against Chesterfield.

The Town midfielder was dismissed in injury time of the defeat to the Spireites due to an altercation with referee Kevin Johnson.

The club decided to appeal Mr. Johnson’s decision but the FA have since deemed it frivolous, banning Khan for an additional two matches on top of the usual three games for a violent conduct red card.

Khan’s suspension will begin against Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup on Friday; he will also miss home games with Grimsby Town, Cambridge United and Barnet as well as the trip to Crewe Alexandra.
