As Town return to Sky Bet League Two action, defender Ryan Dickson is looking to carry the excitement of Friday's cup tie against Manchester United into the clash with Grimsby.

The Glovers hosted Jose Mourinho’s Red Devils at Huish Park in the Emirates FA Cup fourth round, but now welcome the Mariners to Somerset looking for a first league win of 2018.

After a bright opening 40 minutes, Marcus Rashford opened the scoring before United added a further three goals after the restart.

Now returning to league action, Dickson is looking to take the positives from the cup encounter.

The 31-year-old played 90 minutes on Friday night before speaking to YTFC.net.

“You can only learn from the best players, it’s as simple as that,” he said. “They’re the type of players you want to be watching week in, week out and for the young lads and everyone at the football club you can only learn from seeing that quality.

“We have to take the excitement from the United game and the positive atmosphere around the place into our league games.

“We need to start winning league games, that’s the main thing at the moment.”

Tickets for Tuesday night’s match (7.45pm) remain on sale with information here.
