Darren Way looks on v Plymouth PPAUK

Darren Way was left baffled as a poor refereeing in the dying embers cost his side at least a point Chesterfield.

After Lewis Wing’s curler had cancelled out a free kick from Louis Reed, Spireites substitute Kristian Dennis slotted home on the counter.

The drama at Huish Park surrounded the match-winner with Otis Khan having had his shirt pulled in the build-up and later sent off for venting his frustration.

“It’s very disappointing. We always seem to be on the wrong end of referee’s decisions,” Way told iFollow Glovers

“I look at the crowd’s response, their bench’s response, I’ve seen the incident myself… I don’t really know what to say because the decision was that bad.

“I do feel a little bit sorry for Otis because one man by not making that decision has almost shattered his dreams.

“You’ve got a broken lad in (the dressing room). I’m gutted for the player; nothing will happen from the other aspect, and there will only be one punishment. Nothing else will come of it and that’s what disappoints me.”
