Matt Worthington says the squad are ready to face anyone in Sky Bet League Two.
The Glovers take on Stevenage at Huish Park on Saturday (3pm) for the last of their games in October.
Last time out at home, Town picked up three points with a 2-0 win over Crewe Alexandra and Worthington believes similar will follow if the squad remain focused.
“We don’t fear anyone in this league,” he told iFollow Glovers.
“It’ll be a totally different game on Saturday. We’ve got to be prepared for the change.
“League Two is harder (than youth football). It’s more physical, you’ve got to compete for second balls and that’s definitely a side I wanted to work on.
“It’s a close league and if we go into the game with the right frame of mind and play like we did (against Chelsea U21) we’ll get a good result.”
Worthington was one of six changes for Town’s midweek match against Chelsea Under-21s in the Checkatrade trophy.
The Bournemouth loanee has four starts in all competitions since joining on loan and believes the midweek game has given himself and others an opportunity to stake a claim for a permanent starting role.
He said: “It was a massive game for the players who haven’t been involved in recent weeks.
“The cup games are to show the gaffer you’re ready and good enough to play in the starting 11 on a Saturday.
“Everyone did well and everyone has a chance now.”
