PREVIEW | Yeovil Town v Notts County

Table toppers head to Huish Park

20 November 2017

Rhys Browne celebrates after scoring PPAUK

Town will be looking to return to winning ways when league leaders Notts County head to Huish Park on Tuesday night (7.45pm).

The Glovers suffered just their second home defeat of the season at the weekend, with two second half Swindon Town strikes cancelling out Rhys Browne's opener.

Defeat against the Robins ended a run of four games without a loss at home, although Darren Way's side have received a boost ahead of taking on the Magpies.

Having served their three-match suspensions, top scorer Olufela Olomola and fellow striker Francois Zoko will both be eligible to play.

The duo have 12 goals between them and will be pushing for an immediate return to action having left Town with just one recognised forward in Sam Surridge.

Defender Bevis Mugabi, just one game into a three-game ban, will once again sit on the sideline and he could be joined by Ryan Dickson who has missed the last two fixtures after suffering from concussion.

Whoever makes the 18-man matchday squad will face a stern test against the side setting the pace in Sky Bet League Two.

Kevin Nolan's side sit two points clear at the top and are fresh from a 3-1 victory over Cheltenham at Meadow Lane on Saturday.

After suffering just their third league loss of the campaign at Crewe Alexandra midway through October, the Magpies have remained unbeaten in their following four league matches.

Jorge Grant, the league's top scorer with 11 goals, will come into the fixture buoyed by netting twice at the weekend.

The midfielder will be backed up on the scoring charts by the experienced duo of Jon Stead and Shola Ameobi who both lead the line against the Robins.

Head-to-head
Tuesday's encounter will be the 15th league meeting between the two sides.

To date, the Glovers have won seven, drawn three and lost four against the Magpies.

The Green and Whites will be looking to make it four games unbeaten against County, with Kevin Dawson and Otis Khan on target on the opening day of last season in a 2-0 win.

Town are also unbeaten in their last 6 meetings at Huish Park, a run dating back to 2005.

Officials
Dean Whitestone (Northamptonshire) will be the man in the middle on Tuesday night.

The fixture will mark the second Town game Mr Whitestone has taken charge of, having officiated the 0-0 draw with Cheltenham at Huish Park back in September.

Overall, the Northamptonshire has refereed 19 matches, issuing 48 yellow and two red cards.

Mr Whitestone will be supported by Ron Ganfield (Somerset) and Ben Cobb (Dorset) with Samuel Ogles (Hampshire) acting as fourth official.
