PREVIEW | Yeovil Town v Swindon Town

Glovers take on the team with the division's best away form

17 November 2017

Tom James passes the ball down the wing v Southend PPAUK

Town have the chance to extend their unbeaten home run to five matches in all competitions this weekend.

Darren Way’s side have won five at Huish Park this term - plus a penalty shootout victory against Chelsea Under-21s in the Checkatrade Trophy – losing just once and drawing three times.

In their last home outing, the Glovers overcame Sky Bet League One outfit Southend United in the Emirates FA Cup.

That was without the banned Olufela Olomola and Francois Zoko who will serve the last of their three-match suspension on Saturday.

Bevis Mugabi will also be missing after being sent off for violent conduct at Carlisle United, which may see Tom James shift to right-back.

Ryan Dickson may return from an illness which forced him out of the trip to Cumbria.

Yeovil’s fine home form will come up against the best away record in Swindon Town.

The Robins have secured 18 points out of a possible 24 away from the County Ground and sit in the play-off positions.

They will be without Donal McDermott (ankle) while Amine Linganzi and Harry Smith went off injured in their 2-2 draw with Chesterfield.

Top scorer Luke Norris did return for the Wiltshire outfit; he has nine goals in 16 appearances this campaign.

Head-to-head
This will be the first time the two sides haven’t met in Sky Bet League One since Yeovil reached the EFL.

The Glovers have won five out of 14 matches played since 2005 (D3 L6).

Last time out in 2015, Town defeated Swindon 1-0 at the County Ground thanks to a James Berrett strike. Artur Krysiak and Nathan Smith started the fixture.

Officials
Gavin Ward (Surrey) will be the man in the middle at Brunton Park.

The official was in charge of Yeovil’s opening day loss at Luton Town and has refereed 18 games this season.

He has issued 50 yellow cards and one red.

Last term, Ward officiated the Glovers’ draw against Stevenage at the LAMEX Stadium.

He will be assisted by Steven Plane (Worcestershire) and Louis Marks (Hampshire) with Savvas Yianni (North Somerset) acting as fourth official.
