Darren Way insists Town’s focus remains on continuing their fine home form and won’t be dictated by how Swindon Town line-up on Saturday (3pm).

The Glovers have lost just once at home all season – beating two of the current Sky Bet League Two top seven in Somerset– while the Robins have collected 18 points from a possible 24 on their travels.

Swindon boss David Flitcroft has recently switched to a 4-3-3 system but Way says any changes he makes to his side won’t be as a result of that.

“We’re now at home where our form has been very good,” he told iFollow Glovers.

“We’ve lost just once and we’ve played Stevenage, Coventry, Chelsea; it’s important we just continue our home form whether they’ve had good away form or not.

“Southend were a level above so we’ve just got to play to our strengths which sometimes change because of team selection.

“Zokes and Fela have been a big miss but we adapted to that against Southend.  We have to maintain our home form and if that means changes then we’ll change it but their change in formation won’t dictate anything.”

Bevis Mugabi, Olufela Olomola and Francois Zoko are all suspended for the match at Huish Park this weekend.

Way admits the trio will be missed in his squad but is hopeful the youth players within the club can step up to the mark.

“That’s why you have a squad,” he said.

“It makes the selection process easier working with the numbers we’re working with.

“It’s important we see the young talent we’ve got at this football club and they train with us as much as they can so I can see them working with the first team on a regular basis.

“We had to bring in Tom (Scott) to replace Jonny Maddison and I’m just waiting for that next young player to be able to fill that bench.”

Tickets for the Swindon match remain on sale and can be purchased online, by phone on 01935 847888 or in person at the ticket office.
