QUINTET OUT OF TOWN'S QUARTER-FINAL

6 February 2017

Town will be without five players for their trip to Luton Town in the Checkatrade Trophy quarter-finals.

Alex Lawless and Liam Shephard are suspended for the tie after picking up their second bookings of the competition in the last round against Reading Under-23s.

The tournament’s disciplinary rules indicate any player who is awarded two yellow cards up to and including the last eight will serve a one-match ban.

The duo will be available for the semi-finals should Town progress.

Loan trio Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro, Owain Jones and Kabongo Tshimanga miss out due to being cup-tied.

Akpa Akpro featured for Barnet in the group stages while Jones, who made his English Football League debut in Saturday’s draw with Hartlepool United, and Tshimanga played in three games each for Swansea City Under-23s and MK Dons respectively.

Defender Alex Lacey is also a concern for selection after picking up a first-half injury in County Durham.

Kevin Dawson is available with his two-game suspension only applying to Sky Bet League Two matches.
