Out on loan pairing Joe Lea and Ollie Bassett were both in action over the weekend with varying results.
Lea, who is on loan at National League South outfit Gosport Borough, played 80 minutes for Boro as they suffered a 2-0 defeat at Eastbourne Borough.
In fact, the midfielder was only withdrawn with 10 minutes remaining due to the sending off of 'keeper Dan Thomas, with Lea the unlucky outfielder sacrificed for a replacement between the sticks.
Defeat unfortunately leaves Gosport hovering above the relegation zone, but it was a better afternoon for Bassett at Dorchester Town.
The 18-year-old scored a stunning 25-yard effort to help the Magpies to a 2-0 win over Dunstable Town in Evo-Stik League Southern Premier.
Bassett, who is in a third loan spell at the Avenue, came off the bench just past the half-hour mark and made his impact in first-half stoppage time.
The Northern Ireland Under-19 international now has four goals for Dorchester this season.
