Jake Gray insists the players will look after themselves over the next couple of days and won’t go overboard on turkey and roast potatoes!

Darren Way’s men will spend Christmas with their families before meeting up in the evening ahead of the Boxing Day match at Cheltenham Town.

Gray is also celebrating his birthday today (many happy returns!) and says the squad will prepare correctly for a tough game against the Robins.

“We can’t eat too much!” he joked.

“We had our Christmas lunch in the week which was really good and we enjoyed it.

“We’ve just got to look after ourselves over the next couple of days as it’s a quick turnaround.

“Everyone will be with their families to enjoy it and we’ll get ready for the game on Tuesday.”

Gray continued: “We’re really looking forward to the Cheltenham game; it’s going to be a big one for us.

“It’s a tough place to go; I’ve played there and been on loan there as well. We know what to expect and we have a game plan so hopefully we’ll put that in place.”
