Darren Way was happy with the resilience his team showed in a spirited display at Mansfield Town.
The Glovers battled hard for their point in Nottinghamshire against a Stags side who have lost once in Sky Bet League Two at Field Mill this season.
Town had chances to win the match with Sam Surridge hitting the crossbar and finding the top of the net with a cheeky lob, while Matt Worthington had a piledriver well saved by keeper Conrad Logan.
“We kept it simple,” Way told iFollow Glovers.
“I wanted a spirited performance and I thought in the first half we created the best chances and were unlucky not to go one or two up.
“I’ve been to Mansfield as a manager on a couple of occasions, and as player, and I know how difficult it can be.
“The players held their nerve; I thought they were magnificent and they showed a really good, spirited performance.
He continued: “There are a lot of teams who would’ve crumbled under the pressure at Mansfield, that’s for sure.
“There was once or twice on the break where I thought we could end up winning.
“It’s a great point. It’s a hard place to come so I’m really pleased for the players.”
