Town flattered to deceive on the opening day of the 2017/18 Sky Bet League Two season but will have to move on quickly with the games coming thick and fast across various competitions.

The Glovers face a trip to Championship outfit Wolves in round one of the Carabao Cup – their first ever visit to Molineux.

At this stage of last season’s competition, Matty Dolan scored from inside his own half as Yeovil defeated Walsall to set up a fixture with Everton at Goodison Park.

Defender Bevis Mugabi (ankle) missed the trip to Luton Town but is fit again.

Wolves began their league campaign with an impressive 1-0 win over promotion favourites Middlesbrough.

Nuno Espirito Santo brought in a number of new faces with handing starts to seven of his summer acquisitions.

Championship record-signing Ruben Neves, a £15.8m recruit from Porto, featured while Brazilian Leo Bonatini, on loan from Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, scored on his debut.

Forward Helder Costa (ankle) is out of the clash while Phil Ofosu-Ayeh and Ben Marshall (hip) are also a concern.

Ivan Cavaleiro is available with his suspension only applying to league matches.

Head-to-head
The Glovers have never faced Wolves in a competitive fixture.

In 2003, Town hosted the West Midlands side in a pre-season friendly and ran out 2-1 winners.

Kevin Gall’s teasing cross forced a cruel own goal just before half-time and the former Bristol Rovers man added one himself on 62 minutes.

Wolves replied late on through Alex Rae but the Green and Whites hung on for victory.

Officials
Robert Lewis (Shropshire) will be the man in the middle at Molineux.

Mr. Lewis took charge of Fleetwood Town’s win over Rotherham United on Saturday, dishing out three yellow cards and previously refereed a Yeovil match in September 2015 (Accrington Stanley 2-1 YTFC).

The Shrewsbury-born official handed out 49 yellow and two red cards last season.

In the Black Country, Mr. Lewis will be assisted by Richard Wigglesworth (South Yorkshire) and Richard Wild (Lancashire) with Ravel Cheosiaua (Worcestershire) acting as fourth official.
