LACEY ENJOYS END OF SEASON AWARDS HAUL

29 April 2017

Defender Alex Lacey has profited most from the Glovers end of season awards.

Having secured EFL safety with a 1-1 draw against play-off chasing Stevenage, the 24-year-old picked up two awards and two runner-up awards.

A virtual ever-present at the back and one of the first names on the teamsheet, Lacey picked up accolades from the Green and White Supporters Club and Community Sports Trust for his performances this season.

The former Luton centre-back also collected awards from the Disabled Supporters Association and the Cary Glovers, finishing runner-up.

Elsewhere, Matty Dolan was named Western Gazette Player of the Season for his performances and stunning goals from midfield.

Ahead of Lacey, Artur Krysiak won the Cary Glovers and DSA awards as well as winning the Community Sports Trust’s Community award.

For finishing as Town’s top scorer (14 goals with one game remaining), Francois Zoko picked up the Andy Stone Memorial trophy, with Otis Khan named Bobby Hamilton Young Player of the Season.
