Having impressed last weekend, attacker Ollie Bassett started his first match for Dorchester Town on Tuesday night at the Avenue.
The 18-year-old almost scored a stunning volleyed effort on Saturday in the 1-0 win against St. Neots, but couldn’t stop the Magpies going down 3-1 at home to Chippenham Town in Evo-Stik Premier Southern League.
Manager Mark Jermyn handed the loanee his first start since arriving at the Dorset Club a fortnight ago, with Bassett completing 80 minutes against Chippenham.
The fixture was Bassett’s last involvement with Dorchester before he heads to Poland with the Northern Ireland Under-19 squad for their upcoming UEFA European Championship qualification matches in Poland.
