BASSETT NETS ON SECOND DEBUT FOR DORCHESTER

31 October 2016

Ollie Bassett scored on his second debut for Dorchester Town in the 3-1 win against Barnstaple Town in the FA Trophy first qualifying round.

The 18-year-old re-joined the Magpies last Friday and was named on the bench for the match at the Avenue, for what is his second spell at the club.

Fellow Glovers loanee Joe Lea was also amongst the substitutes, but was carrying a knock from the 2-1 loss to Slough Town on Tuesday night and remained an unused substitute.

With the score at 2-0 Dorchester introduced Bassett after 56 minutes, with the attacker putting the game beyond doubt in the 93rd minute with a clinical finish to net his first goal for the Dorset outfit.

Both Lea and Bassett will be available for selection on Tuesday when Dorchester face Portland United in the Dorset Senior Cup before travelling to Kings Langley in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier on Saturday.
