All you need to know ahead of Town’s home match against Colchester United in Sky Bet League Two tomorrow (3pm)
The Glovers extended their unbeaten league run to five thanks to Ben Whitfield’s last-gasp equaliser against Stevenage last weekend, and currently sit 10th in Sky Bet League Two just one point off the play-offs.
Boss Darren Way has called for his squad to show a positive response following Town’s first round exit from the Emirates FA Cup at the hands of National League side Solihull Moors.
The 36-year-old has a full squad at his disposal for the visit of Colchester following the return of Alex Lawless from a groin injury.
Colchester make the 414-mile to Somerset on the back of a nine-match winless run which leaves them hovering just above the relegation zone in 22nd place.
However, the U’s have won their last three matches against Yeovil to nil running out 2-0 winners at the Weston Homes Community Stadium last time the two sides met in 2015.
Way has identified tomorrow’s opponents as a young, athletic, counter-attacking team but experienced striker Chris Porter will prove to be their main threat with six league goals to his name.
Yeovil have suffered three successive defeats against Colchester, with the weekend’s visitors winning to nil each time.
However, Town have won four of their last five matches against the U’s at Huish Park - the last a 3-1 win during the club’s 2012/13 promotion season.
During that period, the Glovers scored 13 goals against Colchester conceding six.
Brett Huxtable (Devon) will take charge of his 18th game of the season on Saturday, fresh from issuing three yellow cards in Newport County’s Emirates FA Cup first round replay win over Alfreton Town.
Mr. Huxtable has awarded 53 yellow cards so far this season, issuing one red, and has never taken charge of a Town match.
On Saturday, Mr. Huxtable will be assisted by Brian Durie (Gloucestershire) and Matt Eva (Surrey) with Simon Knapp (Bristol) acting as fourth official.
