TOWN SIGN STORER ON LOAN

31 December 2016

Yeovil Town have signed striker Jack Storer on loan from Sky Bet Championship outfit Birmingham City.

The 18-year-old will remain at Huish Park until the end of the season, with his loan coming into effect from January 1st subject to clearance.

Storer, who made his Blues debut in the Championship at the start of the season against Cardiff City, will add to Darren Way’s attacking options.

Having signed for Birmingham for an undisclosed compensation package in May 2016 from Stevenage, the former Blues and Wolves Academy graduate initially joined the club’s development squad.

However, having scored seven goals in as many matches during pre-season, Storer was elevated to the first-team by former manager Gary Rowett.

Having captured the services of the tall striker, Way hopes he will add to his side’s potency.

“Firstly, thank you to Gianfranco Zola at Birmingham for allowing Jack to join us," he told YTFC.net.

“Jack is a player who has a big future in the game and will add to my options here. This club has a reputation for developing players so hopefully he can come in and follow in the footsteps of others who have been here before.”

Jack will wear the number 18 shirt during his time at Huish Park and will be available for selection at Crawley Town on Monday subject to clearance.

Everyone at Yeovil Town Football Club wishes Jack all the best during his time in Somerset.
