PREVIEW: YEOVIL TOWN V CRAWLEY TOWN

2 December 2016

All you need to know ahead of Town’s rearranged fixture against Crawley Town in Sky Bet League Two tomorrow (3pm).

Since their postponement against Crawley on November 22nd, Town have extended their unbeaten run to seven.

Otis Khan’s free kick looked to have given the Glovers all three points at Accrington Stanley but for a last-gasp equaliser from the Lancashire club.

Yeovil remain two points outside the play-off places and their game in hand will move them into the top seven should they beat Crawley.

The West Sussex outfit began the campaign in fine fashion and found themselves up with the early promotion-chasing pack.

However, the Red Devils were winless in six matches, until last Saturday’s 3-2 win over Grimsby Town.

Striker James Collins opened the scoring against the Mariners and will pose Crawley’s main threat. Former Glovers Matt Harrold and Lewis Young could also feature.

Head-to-head

Yeovil have faced Crawley on just seven occasions in their history, and have been blessed with good form against Dermot Drummy’s side.

The Glovers have beaten the Reds five times, including the last four games in a row.

Last time out, Town secured a 2-1 victory over Crawley thanks to goals from Ryan Bird and Saturday’s match-winner Tahvon Campbell.

Referee

Charles Breakspear (Surrey) will take charge of his 20th game of the season tomorrow.

Mr. Breakspear has awarded 86 yellow cards and four red cards so far this season and officiated Town’s 2-1 home loss to Hartlepool United.

Mr. Breakspear will be assisted by Adrian Tranter (Dorset) and Kevin Howick (Berkshire) with Andrew Quin (Devon) acting as fourth official.
