GETTING TO KNOW YOU - CAMBRIDGE UNITED

15 June 2015

Cambridge is synonymous for its esteemed University, yet more recently it has also been in the spotlight due to its football prowess and in particular that game against Manchester United.

After narrowly beating a certain Somerset side in the FA Cup Third Round, the Red Devils must have headed to the Abbey Stadium confident of a result.

However, despite putting out a strong line-up, they were unable to break down a resolute Cambridge defence – the full-time score line reading 0-0.

The U’s were eventually beaten in the replay as Manchester United’s quality tolled but they gave a good account of themselves and will hope to give that level of performance this campaign.

After securing their league status, they will be looking to improve this time around under the stewardship of Richard Money.

Formed in 1912, Cambridge United play in yellow and black stripes and have former Yeovil goalkeeper Chris Dunn amongst their ranks.

Distance from Huish Park: 190 miles (three hours, 45 minutes).
