THE GIANTS - NEW PLAY INSPIRED BY YEOVIL TOWN

13 November 2014

Supported by Arts Council England, Take Art and South Somerset District Council, THE GIANTS is a play about going for three points, striving for your dreams and what happens when the reality of life scores a last minute winner.

Meanwhile, teenager Rachel spends every other Saturday on the terraces of Huish Park. She’s willing Yeovil to victory and promotion back to The Championship. Her Bovril-loving older brother is by her side and with her all the way - or is he?

With fitness regimes, tactics boards, specialised diets and positive mental attitudes, Warren and his merry band of school kids have their sites set firmly on the Premier League, but first there’s the small matter of conquering the Somerset Schools’ Cup to worry about.

THE GIANTS tells the story of Glovers fan Warren Pritchard, a tyre fitter with green and white aspirations.  Following in the footsteps of his idols Warren is planning on stepping off the terraces to bring a touch of Yeovil glory to his own team of under-12s.
