BEN'S BETS

With another round of vital SkyBet Football League fixtures tomorrow, comes another chance to put together a accumulator and reinvest some of the Cheltenham Festival winnings – if you were lucky enough to have some!

This week’s accumulator is going back to basics, backing good teams who in a run of good form.

Starting in the Championship and there are two teams that are flying of recent.

We start with Burnley, who with a front line of Danny Ings, Sam Vokes and Ashley Barnes have more goals this season than I care to even tally up.
They are at home and looking to secure their place in the top two in the championship and if they could have picked anyone to play it may well have been Leeds United.
Leeds have shipped 9 goals in their last two games, conceding four against Reading and five against Bolton.
Yes, the Clarets are a short priced favourite at 8/11 but they should still prove too strong for a Leeds side who don’t know if they’re coming or going.
Burnley v Leeds – BURNLEY WIN @ 8/11

Of course, the Championship side that have hit all the headlines recently in Wigan Athletic, the FA Cup semi-finalists have been on an incredible run and they could take that run one stage more as they travel to Yeovil’s last conquerors, Ipswich Town.
Uwe Rosler’s men can be backed at 13/8 to continue their fine run and march themselves into a play-off spot.
Ipswich v Wigan – WIGAN WIN @ 13/8

Dropping into League One and one side who has set records in recent weeks is that of Wolves.
The midland side have won their last six in a row, last five at home and seem quite frankly unstoppable.
Again, it’s a short price, but against a Shrewsbury side who might be improving, but who are looking like they are in for a big relegation scrap.
Wolves v Shrewsbury – WOLVES WIN @ 3/10

There are two selections from League Two this Saturday and we start up in Yorkshire.

One side who are just knocking on the door of the play-offs are York City.
The Minstermen are unbeaten in six, with the last three being all wins.
They are at home and facing a Wycombe side who are hovering dangerously above the drop zone in 20th place.
Even money may seem short, but for a side in great form, this one has to find a place in an Acca.
York v Wycombe – YORK WIN @ Evens

We need to bump this accumulator up a bit and to do that I’m going to pick out a draw.

Staying in League Two and it comes down in the south-west.

Plymouth host Scunthorpe at Home Park and this has got a ‘score draw’ written all over it.
Away side, Scunny have drawn their last four in a row and Argyle have also ended up with only a point from three of their last five outings.
Two sides that are hoping to secure promotion means neither side will be giving an inch and this one could end up being two sides cancelling each out and by the end thinking a point gained is better than nothing.
If you want be brave have a go at a correct score at 1-1 or 2-2, but the ‘draw’ is more than valuable on its own.
Plymouth v Scunthorpe – DRAW @ 23/10

We have our five selections and using SkyBet to place that accumulator, a fiver returns over £194.
Considering we have four heavy favourites, that is certainly not be sniffed at.

YTFC SPECIAL

It’s possibly the biggest clash between rich and poor in the Championship as QPR host Yeovil town and Yeovil can be backed at 6/1 to pull off the shock away win.

However, with players like Ravel Morrison in the opposition line up maybe we should look for some value elsewhere.

Sky Bet have a market where you can pick two players, one from each side, who you think will both score in the match.

If we take Morrison from QPR, who notched a brace in a recent Rangers’ victory and combine him with James Hayter, who not only will be on penalty duties but will also have a key role up front, you can get a combined price of 11/1

So, as long as both players take part you could well be onto a winner in a bet that lasts 90 minutes and doesn’t depend on the final result.

YTFC SPECIAL – BOTH RAVEL MORRISON AND JAMES HAYTER TO SCORE – 11/1
