Yeovil Town are delighted to announce a friendly against the Latvian National Team.
The Glovers will be taking on the Latvians at Huish Park on Monday, 18 November with kick off scheduled for 7.30pm.
The match will bring together Gary Johnson and Marian Pahars, who is now the Latvian national team manager.
Gary was instrumental in the Latvian striker joining Southampton in 1999, whilst he was manager of the national team.
Pahars was the first of several players from Latvia to come over to England to ply his trade after being recommended to clubs by Gary.
He has now adopted Gary’s way of management and has been the national team manager since July 2013.
Latvia, recently finished their latest World Cup Qualifier campaign with a 2-2 draw with Slovakia also have former loanee Vitālijs Maksimenko in their squad.
Pahars men are due to play Republic of Ireland in Dublin on the 15th November before travelling to Somerset to take on The Glovers.
