Yeovil Town Manager Gary Johnson has agreed a deal to sign former Yeovil Town and Chesterfield full back Nathan Smith.

The speedy full back has agreed to sign a two year contract.

Smith is no stranger to The Glovers having had a successful three year spell at the club from 2008 to 2011 during which time he made 119 appearances for the club.

Having first been spotted in a friendly between Yeovil and Potters Bar the full back was immediately invited for a trial and signed a full time contract soon after giving up his job in IT to go full time in football.

Nathan scored his first professional goal against Stockport in a 4-2 victory with a vicious 30 yard shot.

Nathan left Yeovil in 2011 to sign a two year deal with Chesterfield. He has gained two full international caps for his native Jamaica.

Commenting on the new recruit Gary Johnson said: “After discussions with Terry Skiverton and Darren Way, who Nathan played under during his first spell at the club, we were all happy to bring Nathan back to the club.

“I am sure all the supporters will remember Nathan’s style of play and we all look forward to welcoming him back to Huish Park at the start of July.”
