The midfielder slotted home from the penalty spot to earn Town a draw at Victoria Park in Sky Bet League Two.
The result sees Yeovil move three games unbeaten away from home and Dolan was pleased to score with his family present.
Speaking to YTFC’s official YouTube channel he said: “I had all my family down who were split to be honest.
“I had some friends in the Pools end and all my family and my best mate in the Yeovil end.
“The travelling fans were incredible, to travel 330 miles was incredible from them.
“It’s nice we go away with a point which we can take onto Luton on Tuesday with a chance to get closer to Wembley.”
The Glovers trailed to Padraig Amond’s second half header before Dolan’s equaliser, but the Yeovil midfielder felt the visitors were good for all three points.
“The boys battled and it wasn’t a pretty first half in tough conditions, but we stayed organised and knew in the second half we’d get chances.
“It was a sucker punch with the goal – which was a great finish from their lad – but after the equaliser we had chances to win the game.
“I think we were the side that was going to take three points, but to take a point away from home, with a long trip, we’ll get back home now and get ready for Tuesday night.”
Dolan was part of the scenes at full-time which saw the Yeovil players shake hands and thank the 97 travelling contingent, something he greatly appreciates.
“Credit to the fans,” he said. “It’s one end of the country to the other and they were up at 6am to make match time, so it’s nice to reward them with a performance.
“First half wasn’t the greatest but second half I’m sure they’re going home happy now.”
