On Monday evening, Yeovil Town confirmed the signature of Morgan Williams on a two-year contract.

The defender well-known to Glovers fans following two loan spells, was excited to get started after putting pen to paper.

Speaking to ytfc.net, the 21-year-old said, “I’m really excited to get started here, it’s a fresh start and I want to leave my mark on the club.

“The main aspiration in my time here is to get promotion to League Two. First of all, I need to knuckle down in pre-season, get some game time in and then push on.

“I’m massively excited to play in front of the fans again, obviously it’s been a difficult time the last year or so, but I can’t wait to see them in pre-season and onwards.”

Speaking on social media, the former Coventry man couldn’t hide his delight at returning to Huish Park, tweeting;

The Huish Park faithful were equally excited to see Morgan return to Somerset, with one posting; “Welcome back Morgan, great signing!”

Announced at the same time as Boris Johnson delayed lockdown easing, some fans preferred this announcement to the PM’s, with another sharing on twitter; “Of all the announcements at 6 o’clock today, this one is miles better than Boris’.”
