As part of the new club owners drive to improve matchday food and beverage options, a number of changes are being introduced.

Starting this Saturday ‘Only Food and Sauces’ will be situated behind the Thatchers Stand offering Glovers fans an improved range of burger bar options. Accessible to all home fans before the game and the Thatchers stand at half time, this new offer replaces the club’s own burger bar.

Speaking on behalf of Only Food and Sauces, Sharon Hartley said “We look forward to working with YTFC and providing this service to fans, with a quick and quality fresh cooked service”

Other food and beverage improvements starting this Saturday, will be the introduction of Mulled Wine in the marquee over the festive period and the food range being increased in the Alec Stock lounge to include Pasties as well as Pork rolls at half time, in addition to the popular carvery offer before the game.

The club will also continue to offer baked potatoes and improved hot dog rolls via the tea bars and it remains the case that all home fans can access the Alec Stock lounge (as well as the marquee) before/after the game and at halftime (although halftime access  is limited to main stand ticket holders for practical reasons).

Fans using the first floor have more good news as after feedback from the Supporters Alliance the cost of the draft beers/ciders that are served both in the marquee and first floor will be equalised to eliminate a price difference over recent years. This price differential has meant that some draft beers were more expensive to buy on the first floor than they were in the marquee.

Commenting on these changes David Mills, club Chief Operating Officer, said “Our stated aim is to try something new regarding catering at every home game this season and these changes, especially the burger bar offer, should significantly improve the food and beverage options. This is an area where we know the club still has plenty of room to improve on so we will continue to change things around and improve the options as the season progresses”.

Tickets for Saturday’s game with FC Halifax Town are still available. Last time out we comfortably dispatched of the Shaymen thanks to Gold Omotayo’s double.
