In glorious sunshine the Glovers kicked off their Sky Bet Championship campaign with a entertaining 1-0 victory away at Millwall.

The hosts were the first to create a chance with Morison heading wide from a Lowry cross, when perhaps he should have at least tested Stech.

Just after ten minutes Ed Upson picked the ball up out side the Millwall area, looked up to see keeper Forde off his line, but his audacious chip went narrowly over.

With 15 minutes on the clock Town thought they had taken the lead. A free-kick on the right was whipped across by Upson onto the head on new boy Seaborne. The defender out jumped his marker to head at goal, but Forde was on hand to get a strong hand on the ball right on the line.

Stech was called into his first real save after 25 minutes when he was quick off his line to deny James Henry a certain goal. The hosts neat passing move saw the midfielder beat the offside trap but the big shot stopper was on hand to keep the score at 0-0.

At the half-time break Gary Johnson made one change with Paddy Madden being replaced by Michael Ngoo.

Ten minutes into the second half James Hayter appeared to be wrestled to the ground by Beevers but referee Whitestone waved away the claims.

Seconds later Stech was called into a acrobatic save to tip a venomous shot by Henry over the bar.

It was that man Henry who had the next clear-cut chance for the home side. A through ball to Morison was intercepted by Stech, but his clearance ended at the feet of Henry, who had the whole goal to aim at but put his effort high and wide.

After a bit of pressure from the Glovers Yeovil took the lead with two minutes remaining on the clock.

Upson chested the ball down on the edge of the area and hit a volley that wrong footed Forde and hit the back of the net.

The fourth official indicated three minutes of added time but the Glovers held on comfortably to secure their first ever win the second tier of English football.
