Yeovil Town will look to bounce back from defeat to Chesterfield against Sutton United on Tuesday evening (7pm).
The hosts have been the surprise package of the National League this season, proving to be real title challengers, locked with Torquay and Hartlepool on 47 points, with two games in hand on their title rivals.
For Yeovil, Darren Sarll will be hoping his side can bounce back from a disappointing afternoon against Chesterfield.
Darren Sarll’s thoughts
Speaking after defeat to Chesterfield, Sarll said; "We've got loads of reasons to go into Tuesday's game in good spirits, one poor performance doesn't take away from (Tom) Knowles' six games and how well he's played in them.
"It certainly doesn't take away from (Jimmy) Smith's, (Reuben) Reid's and (Rhys) Murphy's good performances.
"We'll contextualise today (vs. Chesterfield) and put it in a little box, because we can't change it now. We've got to contain our emotions and attack Tuesday the best we can."
The long-term absentees of Luke Wilkinson, Josh Staunton & Lawson D’Ath remain unavailable for the trip to Gander Green Lane.
Lee Collins & Emmanuel Sonupe are the closest to a return to the Yeovil Town squad but Tuesday’s trip to South London may come too soon for them.
A foot in the opposition camp
After Paul Doswell left Sutton United in 2019, many were unsure where the club would go, but ever since Matt Gray took over, the only way has been up. After a comfortable middle table season, the U’s have come into the 2020/21 season revitalised, storming up the table to second place, joint on points with first placed Torquay, and games in hand on Gary Johnson’s Seasiders.
The star man in the midfield for Sutton is Harry Beautyman, dropping out of the EFL in 2018 in the search for first team football, Beautyman arrived at Sutton with a point to prove, something he has certainly done 22 goals since the start of last season, firing the U’s up the table.
