Charlie Lee takes charge of his first National League fixture at Huish Park on Good Friday with Aldershot Town visiting Somerset (3pm KO).

After back-to-back 2-2 draws in the league, Lee will be hoping to taste management victory for the first time in the league.

The Shots are currently fighting for their lives at the bottom of the league, sitting in the final spot above the drop zone.

Charlie Lee’s thoughts

Speaking ahead of the game, Lee said; “I’m really looking forward to the game, even in the Somerset Cup it was great to have the fans behind us. It will be slightly different atmosphere from that tomorrow.

“We now just need to keep going on this strong run that we’re on and we’ll be looking to get three points.”

Team news

Speaking in his press conference, Lee confirmed that Jack Robinson and Max Hunt have returned to full training, but Friday’s game could come too soon for their return.

Josh Staunton is due to see a specialist next week so further updates on him will come then.

Ted Cann has returned to West Bromwich Albion following a short-term loan spell, with Grant Smith expected to start.

After his straight red card against King’s Lynn, Matt Worthington will serve the first game of his four-game suspension.

A foot in the opposition camp

It’s been a difficult season in Hampshire with Aldershot spending the season in the bottom half of the table.

Danny Searle departed not long after the two sides met, but Mark Molesley has struggled to navigate his side outside of a relegation battle.

The Shots sit just five points above the drop, but won their last game against Boreham Wood.

Have we met before?

Since returning to non-league football, Yeovil have a strong record against the Shots.

During 19/20, the Glovers picked up four points against Aldershot, winning 3-1 at the EBB during a seven game winning run and drawing at Huish Park just two months later.

Last season saw Town pick up their first home win of the season, as a Courtney Duffus double and an Albi Skendi strike secured three points.

This season, Joe Quigley’s double secured Yeovil’s first win of the season.
