Yeovil Town striker Paddy Madden has been named as the npower League One Player of the Month for January.
The Irishman, pictured above receiving his award from captain Jamie McAllister, won the award after scoring six goals during the month of January and beat off stiff competition from Swindon Town’s Wes Foderingham and Doncaster Rovers’ Rob Jones.
Madden’s spectacular month started with a fine brace against Leyton Orient on New Year’s day before scoring two in each game against Sheffield United and MK Dons. The run of goals has continued into the month of February and all are hoping it continues.
The striker originally signed on loan from fellow League One side Carlisle United but signed a permanent deal in January. Since his arrival he has scored freely and is currently the league’s top scorer.
